offering guided fishing trips on Castle Rock Lake & Petenwell Lake in Central Wisconsin.
Angler’s Pride Fishing Guide Service is a teaching tool to help anglers learn about locating and catching fish in lakes, rivers, and reservoirs.
Jerry and Ray are licensed fishing guides on Castle Rock Lake & Petenwell Lakes in Central Wisconsin, as well as the connecting Wisconsin River system.
The immense size of Castle Rock Lake & Petenwell Lake can be a daunting task for anglers to locate fish. With Jerry, and Ray’s 60 plus years of combined fishing experience on these waters, they are well equipped to instruct anglers that are new to the area or just staying for a short visit on the locations and presentations to use to enjoy their time on the water.
Guiding begins early in the spring, usually by mid-March or when the rivers are free of ice and navigable safely by boat. Early open water fishing can offer an angler a great chance to learn river tactics for walleye, crappie, white bass, but don’t be surprised when the small mouth bass and an occasional musky get in the way.
We strive to give you a fun and educational time, and try to include as many presentations that time allows, including jigging, trolling crank baits, and pulling flies.
Ice fishing is now offered as well. The ice season generally starts by the end of December, or early January, or when we feel it is safe for our clients, as well as ourselves. Click on the ice fishing tab above for more information.
